Nandini Syed (she/her)

Nandini is an accomplished public sector executive, educator, and governance leader with more than 20 years of experience in financial strategy, enterprise risk management, procurement oversight, and organizational transformation across municipal, provincial, and academic sectors.

Most recently, Nandini served as Vice President, Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Services at the Workplace Safety & Insurance Board (WSIB), leading enterprise procurement and vendor governance initiatives supporting a multi-billion-dollar provincial portfolio. She also serves as a Professor in Graduate Studies Finance, Law and Governance at Seneca College and Western University.

Throughout her career, Nandini has held senior municipal leadership roles, including Chief Financial Officer (Treasurer) for the Town of Orangeville and Chief Administrative Officer for the Municipality of North Middlesex. Her expertise includes financial stewardship, governance and regulatory oversight, enterprise risk management, procurement modernization, and strategic transformation.

A strong advocate for diversity, accessibility, and inclusive leadership, Nandini has championed neurodiversity and disability inclusion initiatives throughout her public sector career. She has also served on several boards and committees, including the Orangeville Police Services Board, Orangeville Public Library Board, and the City of London Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee.

Nandini joined Humana’s Board to support its mission of promoting dignity, inclusion, and community well-being for individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health needs. She is committed to contributing strong governance, financial oversight, and strategic leadership in support of Humana’s continued impact and growth.
