Accessibility
Humana Community Services supports the full inclusion of persons with disabilities as set out in the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, the Ontario Human Rights Code, and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), 2005.
Our Commitment
In fulfilling our mission, we strive at all times to provide our services in a way that respects the dignity and independence of persons with disabilities. We are committed to giving people with disabilities the same opportunity to access our services and allowing them to benefit from the same services, in the same place, and in a similar way as other clients. This includes meeting the needs of people with disabilities in a timely manner.
We achieve our commitments by removing and preventing barriers to accessibility and by meeting our accessibility requirements under Ontario’s accessibility legislation.
Website Accessibility
Humana is committed to making its website accessible and usable for all visitors. We work toward meeting the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and continuously review and improve the accessibility of our digital content.
To help make our website more accessible and user-friendly, we provide an accessibility interface powered by accessiBe.
The accessibility menu allows visitors to customize their browsing experience based on their individual needs. Available features may include:
Screen reader and keyboard navigation enhancements
Text resizing and spacing adjustments
Color and contrast modifications
Highlighting of links and headings
Reading guides and cursor enhancements
Options to pause animations and reduce visual distractions
Accessibility profiles designed to support users with visual, cognitive, motor, and other accessibility needs
The accessibility menu can be accessed by selecting the accessibility icon displayed at the bottom of each website page. Users can personalize settings at any time to improve readability, navigation, and overall usability.
We are committed to continually improving accessibility and providing an inclusive online experience for all visitors. If you encounter any accessibility barriers while using our website, please contact us so we can assist you and address your concerns.
