Location: Parkhill, ON
Schedule: 32+ scheduled hours per week; varied shifts including evenings, weekends and public holidays

Summary of Roles & Responsibilities:
This position involves coordinating the day-to-day operations and support of a short-term live-in treatment setting, working with youth
Provide a safe and supportive environment for participants; remain calm and focused in crisis situations while utilizing effective de-escalation and decision-making skills
Ensure that the individual needs of people are met on a daily basis (medical, personal, physical, financial, hygienic, social, recreational, emotional, developmental) in compliance with legislated requirements and company policies and procedures
Conduct intake screening interviews, tours, assessments, admissions, and orientation of new youth on site as required
Share responsibility with the Program Supervisor for the care and maintenance of the property including, submitting requests and monitoring repairs/preventative tasks
Work successfully with diverse groups and demonstrate commitment to principles of equity, diversity, inclusion, and justice
Qualifications:
Completion of post-secondary education in Community, and/or Social Services (e.g., DSW, SSW, CYC, Social Sciences, BSW, Police Foundations).
Please Note: Personal Support Worker (PSW) certifications do not meet the educational requirements for this position.
Minimum two (2) years of related experience providing behaviour intervention support; knowledge of concurrent disorders and/or dual diagnoses and strategies for support
Demonstrated understanding of requirements specific to the roles and responsibilities of the job.
Strong rapport-building, mentorship, advocacy, organization, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, in addition to attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively with a team (internal and external), and independently as necessary.
Capacity to establish, implement, and maintain professional, and personal boundaries.
Multilingualism and having diverse lived experiences are considered assets.
Requirements:
Valid Class G (full) Driver’s License with a 3-year Uncertified Driver Record
Satisfactory current (within the last 6 months) Police Vulnerable Sector Check
Physical Health assessment: verification of up-to-date immunizations, negative TB Skin test (within the last 6 months), COVID vaccination status (2 doses), and ability to meet the physical and psychological requirements of the position
Current Standard First Aid & CPR, Level C with AED training preferred
