Compensation: $28.67/hour plus paid vacation time off (3 weeks vacation, wellness and float days) and a comprehensive benefits package including RRSP matching after a waiting period of three months
Location: HGH - London, ON
Schedule: 32-40 hrs/week; varied shifts including evenings, weekends and public holidays

Summary of Roles & Responsibilities:
Working with children and youth experiencing mental health challenges providing high-level (intensive) therapeutic treatment services and day-to-day supports.
Develop and maintain therapeutic relationships and attend to the diverse needs of youth.
Provide a safe and supportive environment for participants; intervene, remain calm and focused in crisis situations while utilizing effective de-escalation and decision-making skills.
Create, plan, coordinate person-centred programs that promote educational, behavioural, developmental, psychological, and emotional growth
Facilitate partnerships within the community while advocating for youths’ needs.
Work successfully with diverse groups and demonstrate commitment to principles of equity, diversity, inclusion, and justice.
Qualifications:
Completion of post-secondary education in Human, Community, and/or Social Services (e.g., SSW, DSW)
Minimum two (2) years of related experience providing behaviour intervention support; knowledge of concurrent disorders and/or dual diagnoses and strategies for support
Reliable with a demonstrated commitment to being a dependable member of a team
Understanding of support requirements specific to the roles and responsibilities of the job
Proficiency in both verbal and written communication
Strong leadership, mentorship, advocacy, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills, in addition to attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively with the team, and independently as necessary
Capacity to establish, implement, and maintain professional, and personal boundaries
Multilingualism and having diverse lived experiences are considered assets
Requirements:
Valid Class G (full) Driver’s License with a 3-year Uncertified Driver Record
Satisfactory current (within the last 6 months) Police Vulnerable Sector Check
Physical Health assessment: verification of up-to-date immunizations, negative TB Skin test (within the last 6 months), COVID vaccination status (2 doses), and ability to meet the physical and psychological requirements of the position
Current Standard First Aid & CPR, Level C with AED training preferred
