Position Overview
Compensation:
$31.50 – $42.50 per hour based on experience
Paid time off, pension match and comprehensive benefits package following a three-month probationary period
Location: London and Parkhill, ON (Ability to work at both locations)
Duration: Permanent Full Time
Schedule: 32 hours per week Monday to Friday, with some evenings and weekends as required to meet program needs

Summary of Roles & Responsibilities:
As a Registered Practical Nurse, you will provide nursing support and direct care to youth aged 12–18 in live-in intensive treatment group care settings focused on assessment, stabilization, and skill development. The role is based within a program-embedded, team-based environment and operates with clinical collaboration and oversight.
Your work will include:
Providing hands-on, daily living support and direct care in alignment with individualized care plans
Supporting the implementation of treatment plans through observation, documentation, and communication with clinical staff
Assisting with coordination of medical and allied health appointments, as directed
Creating and maintaining a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment
Providing consistent supervision and support to participant
Supporting youth in building life skills and positive, pro-social community engagement
Collaborating closely with program and clinical teams to support continuity of care and transitions
Demonstrating a clear commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and justice
What You Bring
Experience working with children, youth, or individuals with mental health or complex support needs is strongly preferred
Demonstrated ability to provide supportive, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented care within a team-based environment
Strong observation, communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to share relevant information with clinical and program staff
Ability to work within established care plans, policies, and clinical direction
Sound judgment, professionalism, and reliability in a congregate care setting
Experience with crisis prevention, de-escalation, and behaviour support appropriate to the role
Comfort using basic computer systems for documentation and communication
Fluent written and spoken English; French and multilingualism is an asset
Requirements
Legally entitled to work in Canada
Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
Valid Class G (full) Driver’s License with a 3-year Uncertified Driver Record and access to a reliable vehicle
Satisfactory Broad Records Police Check (issued within the last 6 months)
Physical Health Assessment, including:
Verification of required immunizations
Negative TB Skin Test (within the last 6 months)
COVID-19 vaccination status
Ability to meet the physical and psychological demands of the position
Current Standard First Aid & CPR Level C with AED (preferred)
