Compensation: $28.67/hour plus paid vacation time off (3 weeks vacation, wellness and float days) and a comprehensive benefits package including RRSP matching after a waiting period of three months
Location: London, ON
Schedule: 32-40 hrs/week; varied shifts including evenings, weekends and public holidays

Summary of Roles & Responsibilities:
Working with adults with developmental disabilities, concurrent disorders and/or dual diagnoses in an assisted-living environment providing 24/7 support to develop daily living skills that support community integration/engagement
Collaborate with team to implement care plans that support involvement in person-centred programs that ensure the daily needs of participants are met (medical, personal, physical, financial, hygienic, social, recreational, emotional, developmental), and provide the best quality of life while in compliance with legislated requirements and company policies and procedures
Provide a safe and supportive environment for participants requiring varying levels of behaviourial interventions; remain calm and focused in crisis situations while utilizing effective de-escalation and decision-making skills
Work successfully with diverse groups and demonstrate commitment to principles of equity, diversity, inclusion, and justice
Qualifications:
Completion of post-secondary education in Human, Community, and/or Social Services (e.g. CYC, SSW, DSW)
Minimum two (2) years of related experience providing behaviour intervention support; knowledge of concurrent disorders and/or dual diagnoses and strategies for support
Reliable with a demonstrated commitment to being a dependable member of a team
Understanding of support requirements specific to the roles and responsibilities of the job
Proficiency in both verbal and written communication
Strong leadership, mentorship, advocacy, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills, in addition to attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively with the team, and independently as necessary
Capacity to establish, implement, and maintain professional, and personal boundaries
Multilingualism and having diverse lived experiences are considered assets
Requirements:
Valid Class G (full) Driver’s License with a 3-year Uncertified Driver Record
Satisfactory current (within the last 6 months) Police Vulnerable Sector Check
Physical Health assessment: verification of up-to-date immunizations, negative TB Skin test (within the last 6 months), COVID vaccination status (2 doses), and ability to meet the physical and psychological requirements of the position
Current Standard First Aid & CPR, Level C with AED training preferred
